Freese
v. Katsantones Constuction: $899,000
|
|
Mr.
Freese was a roofer carrying two big buckets of hot tar down
a flight of unfinished stairs.
The stairs had no handrails and were "bouncy." He
lost his balance, dropped the buckets and fell into the 500
degree tar
Mr. Freese was wearing a t-shirt, shorts and tennis shoes.
He suffered major 3rd degree burns.
We filed suit against the general contractor alleging the
faulty stairs caused the fall.
|
We
recovered $899,000 for Mr. Freese. $24,000 was used to reimburse
his workers compensation for the $100,000 in benefits he also
received.
