alleged that the use of a stepstool was in violation of
state law and that actual stairs are required for public
safety.

& D Homes agreed to pay $537,500 in cash on the 2nd day of
trial. This was an important case for the Solano Community and
the trial was attended by Jeff Sullivan, a reporter for the Daily
Republic. The story appeared on December 1, 2001.
